New Station Quarantine Procedure
Building a new station is a lengthy, complex task. It will be of benefit to the builders and the ILRS if early in planning for a new station, the ILRS CB is notified following the procedures at site procedures . If it is possible to co-locate the new station with an existing SLR station, it will be simpler to put upper boundaries on any systematic errors in the new station. The ASC will analyze the ranging data and reach some conclusions as to the readiness of the new station to leave quarantine.
