Five Target System Calibration (John Luck)

Having five terrestrial calibration targets and having still up to a few mm uncertainty gives us an idea about what errors we might introduce with the "ONE" target systems. Even if the conclusion of John's talk might be: The happiest guy must be, who has NO calibration target!

Stations are emphasised to think about a "Multi Calibration Target" approach.

New Internal Calibration Target at SGF Herstmonceux (Victoria Smith)

Vicky talked about their new "Short" calibration target which was built and tested at the Herstmonceux station. But doing careful comparisons proved again John's theory perfectly.

They also have to solve the question: What is the true calibration constant?

MLRO Performance Characterisation (Guiseppe Bianco)

Pippo gave us a nice summary of the stability of the Matera station. Lageos RAW Data RMS is around 5mm. The station stability is at the mm level.

Portable Pico Event Timer 2kHz (Karel Hamal)

Karel gave us a short overview about the history of the PICO EVENT Timer and ended up with the last version, which can handle now repetition rates up to 2kHz and having still the well known accuracy and linearity.

Tests of the Stability and Linearity of the A031ET Event Timer (Ludwig Grunwaldt)

Lutz presented us his new Event Timer (Riga Counter), which seems to be a quite cheap but very good alternative to the high price segment used in the SLR community. The results of the timer comparison showed that the linearity and stability is within a few ps!

Mount Model Stability

John presented a highly sophisticated method to calculate an accurate Mount Model. It should be possible to have it stable down to 1.5 arcsec. But of course to have a "STABLE" mount is the most important thing and will solve the modelling problem in the most elegant way.

Signal Strength Monitor for C-Spad Receiver (Ivan Prochazka)

Ivan presented us their small electronic device, which is determining out of the time difference between the compensated and the uncompensated output of the C-Spad, the signal strength of the return signal.
