SLRF2005The terrestrial reference frame was obtained combining ITRF2000, ITRF2005 rescaled and a global SLR solution with data from 1993 to 2007 to add the new sites. SLRF2005 will be a temporary reference frame until a new ILRS frame, obtained from the official SSC/EOP product, will be available. It takes the best from ITRF2000 and ITRF2005 and is a unique representation of all the SLR sites. Download via ftp the SINEX file of the SLRF2005 stations positions. SLRF2005 computational strategy
In ITRF2005 there are some stations with very large sigmas (more or less 500 meters on coordinates and 50 m/y on velocities) causing instabilities in the matrix. Those stations have been deleted from the file before the combination. Most of them are not big players in the ITRF and they will be added as soon as there is a good estimation. The table below contains the list of those sites. Some of them are well estimated in ITRF2000. In red are reported the stations not being in the combination of ITRF2000 and ITRF2005. +SOLUTION/EPOCHS
New stationsTogether with the sites having bad values in ITRF2005, a set of new stations have been added to SLRF2005: San Juan (7406), Haleakala (7119), Shanghai (7821). A global solution has been done by ASI using the data from 1993 to 2007. It is a loose solutions with SSC/SSV estimated at epoch 1997.0. Before combination, the variance/covariance matrix has been downweighted by a factor of 100. ASI.93-07 was downweighted and a subnetwork of "core sites"+"new sites" was extracted from the solution to be combined with the other 2 TRF with the aim to minimize its influence over the network. The complete list of sites taken from the global ASI solution is:
