Altimetry and Ocean
Modeling - research objective is to simulate the ocean circulation and improve it by
data assimilation. Satellite-derived data on altimetry, temperature, and winds are used.
Altimetry Atlas - mean sea
surface and gravity anomaly maps of the oceans.
Ice Altimetry - processing of satellite radar and
aircraft laser altimetry over the continental ice sheets and surrounding sea ice to
calculate surface elevations.
Laser Altimeter Processing Facility -
processing and distributing data products acquired by experimental airborne and spaceborne
laser altimeters developed within Goddard's Laboratory for Terrestrial Physics
Satellite Radar Altimetry -
satellite altimetry offers the possibility to measure sea surface heights globally.
The Reat Time Ocean
Environment - real time look at our world's oceans as remotely sensed from
earth orbiting satellites (GFO, Topex, ERS)
TOPEX/Poseidon
- research in progress at the Colorado Center for Astrodynamics Research using data from
the TOPEX/Poseidon satellite.
TOPEX/Poseidon Educational Outreach
- a comprehensive effort to disseminate meaningful data from the TOPEX/Poseidon satellite
to the general population.
TOPEX/Poseidon Kids Page - join
Toppy the Satellite and learn lots of neat facts and information about the TOPEX satellite
and the planet Earth.
